As I recall, you've been asked before about supporting the experimental Docbook schema. You had no plans for doing so in the past.
Since there seems to be a lot of demand from Docbook users and developers for utilizing a schema rather than a DTD, are you looking further into supporting schema development for eDE? |

From our point of view, we are still not planning to support experimental features like a Docbook Schema, since eDE is a production environment for DocBook XML.
To this day, not many users have asked for Schema support, and from looking at the posts and mailing list we keep an eye on, the demand for Docbook Schema is not too big. Of course, we may be utterly wrong with this. Can you please provide us with some links that document the public interest in Docbook Schema? Then we could have a closer look and maybe get an idea what it would require to adapt eDE to the Schema. |
