I am running WAMP 1.5 now, I have made some modififications to the php.ini and httpd.conf.

How do I go about installing the latest version?

Do I have to de-install the current version first?

Will I have to renter the modifications or will the install program keep them?

Thank you in advance

You will have to uninstall 1.5, then install 2.0. Make up a backup of htdocs, the databases and your configuration files since the uninstaller will delete them. After installing 2.0, you can merge your changes into the new configuration files.

A sidenote: Starting with >e-novative> WAMP 2.1, the uninstaller will be less destructive, also the build-in backup command will also backup the system configuration. Future versions of WAMP will be capable of seamless updating. In the past, this was not possible due to some limitations of MySql. These are gone with the 4.1 release, which will be part of >e-novative> WAMP 2.1.
