I love the simplicity, ease of installation and the very simple batch file operation of the e-novative eDE DocBook suite.

I feel confident in saying that the eDE is easier to use than installing and learning to use DocBook in the Cygwin environment, ie with xsltproc and all that.

So my question, here, is: What other differences are there besides this simplicity between eDE and the more classic Norman Walsh maintained DocBook?

Thank you,
Steve

I notice there is no response to this, perhaps I have chosen the wrong thing for comparisons.

Does anyone have thoughts about the
*DocBook Tool Chain Manager* (DocMan)
which is a windows and Linux manager for converting DocBook documents to PDF, HTML, XML, ... it has a GUI interface rather than the batch file approach of the eDE tools.

Has anyone tried this program ... any thoughts or reviews?

Here's one thing (or two):

DocMan does not support stylesheets, as eDE does.
DocMan CRASHES with well-formed and verified ARTICLES. BOOKS seem to work.
