Hi,

I deinstalled 2.1.1 and installed 3.0. At first MySQL didn't allow localhost to login. So I deinstalled 3.0 and installed it again.
And since then, Apache won't start anymore. I found out, that the WAMP 3.0 installation didn't create the "httpf.conf" file. Just "httpd.sample.conf" and "wamp.conf".

When I rename "httpd.sample.conf" into "httpd.conf" Apache starts, but without any configuration.

So what can I do? Why does WAMP don't create a "httpd.conf"?

ok, now, after 10-15 reinstallations, Apache runs again (this time, the httpd.conf was created).

But now MySQL won't run "#1130 - Host 'localhost' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server"....

Does anyone has a fresh installation to send me the MySQL-Table-dir as ZIP?

The problem you have experienced results from files remaining from a previous WAMP (or Apache) installation. This is a problem with Apache's uninstaller we are trying to work around. Sorry for the trouble.

As for the MySQL server: did you keep the database files of a previous installation?
