I tried another package (so that I could have the most up to date Apache, PHP, and MySQL). It was in the hopes of running both, so my older applications would continue to work and then I could start programming using the later versions of PHP 5.
Anyway, I uninstalled the other package thinking it would get rid of everything, but have now noticed MySQL does not work. At first I was able to start mysqld-nt.exe, but could not connect to it. Now, after removing the service and reinstalling it, all I see (very briefly in a CMD box) is it error, before shutting down. Is it possible to fix MySQL without having to reinstall all of e-novative's WAMP? |

| So what is the error message. If MySQL is actually run as a service, there should be no error message in a command window, so I am a little confused. | |
