Downloaded today the WAMP and installed it two times into Win 2000 pro.
Reason: After first installation the WAMP started from localhost and I thought this was really easy. But it wasnt, as I called from the initial page the control center. Script couldn't handle my file path that was C:\Program Files\WAMP (note the space in between). The script read only the token "C:\Program". I unistalled for give it more easy path. Unistall went ok, then again install, but installation aborted cause there was already apache and mysql. Actually the services were both running and there was a lot of references in registry, to both of them. So unistallation didn't shut down the services and it didn't eather clear the registry. Well, I did, and then the installation went well and the PC is now up and running. Yessssss
This will be a test bed for Joomla, and our sailing club WEB-pages. JV PS. I tested earlier some other WAMP installation set, but could not get it run. http://localhost reported only Forbidden You do not have permissions to ... etc. |
