Posted:  18 May 2006 23:09
Hi,

I am a newbie in embedded help document production and in using eDE. I'm trying to display some entries in the index of the generated CHM file from my docbook file but my efforts were unsuccessful so far.

My docbook document is a XML file which is edited with XMLMind's XML Editor.

What I did so far is to insert an index element into the article element and insert 'indexterm' elements with primary texts throughout my article.

Then I use the command "docbook_htmlhelp" to produce the CHM file.  The produced CHM file contains the Index tab but it's empty inside that tab.  Have I forgot doing something?

Any help or hint is appreciated!

Hi,

I finally found out how to output my index in my CHM file.  My solution was to install Microsoft's latest HTML Help Workshop.

Hope this helps,
